Healing The Brain

Healing the brain post-concussion means different things to different people. On the most basic level, post-concussion brain care is about restoring brain function. The question is; how much healing post-concussion can come from the body’s natural healing and what kind of neurorehabilitation strategies might be required in the form of cognitive recovery methods or neuroplasticity exercises.

To understand this it is important to look at the cause of concussion symptoms. Many post-concussion syndrome symptoms are the result of ongoing brain inflammation. Others may be specific to actual damage to neurons.

Either way, it is important to address neuroinflammation. This allows for the natural healing of concussion as well as increasing the benefits of brain injury rehabilitation through neuroplasticity exercises or cognitive recovery methods.
